Richard Hornyak, Jr. Obituary

Van Buren Township- Richard Joseph Hornyak, Jr. 59, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, November 7, 2024, in Huntington, West Virginia while doing what he loved, hunting.

They made their home in Van Buren Township, Michigan, where Rich was employed as a Safety Engineer for DFM Solutions in Detroit, Michigan. For 15 years, Rich was a diligent worker who loved his career with DFM Solutions.

In his free time, he loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing, as well as cars, especially Mustangs. He was a member of the Fraternity Order of Eagles Van Buren #3996. Most importantly, he was a loving, trustworthy, and fun, man who loved his family and friends more than anything.

As well as so many loving and close friends who made such an impact on Rich's life. They were like family to Rich and he would want to acknowledge their friendship and love for him and his family.

Rich was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Edward John Kelty; and his brother-in-law, Richard Perrott.

Rich and i shared the same passion in hunting. I was always excited n look forward to seeing him or hunting with him. But our busy schedules didn't allow us to get together to hunt like we wanted too. He was a great man sure gonna miss him.
