Robert Lee Pumphrey

Robert Lee Pumphrey, 79, of Cortland, OH passed away Friday, March 22, 2024, at his home. He was born July 7, 1944, in Weston, WV, the son of the late William F. and Haydie A. (Wilt) Pumphrey. Robert worked as a line worker and maintenance department for General Motors. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served from July 20, 1964, until June 30, 1967. Robert was a member of Fowler Community Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bingo, working on cars, especially his Nova, but above all he loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Patricia Pumphrey of Cortland, OH; daughters, Leigh A. (Mark) Timko, Kimberly (Anthony) Stevens, Kelly (Paul) Hetherington, and Robin (Jason) Bennett; sisters, Evelyn (Jim) Titus, and Janie Pumphrey; grandchildren, Lindsay (Ryan), Joshua, Autumn, Amanda (Sam), Alisha (Daniel), Brandon (Leah), Bryce, Dakota, and Levii; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four siblings. Friends may call from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at the Fowler Community Church. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at the Fowler Community Church, where Pastor Joel Dickson will officiate. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
