Steven Kent Obituary

Steven Kent, Sr., 53, of New Castle passed away Thursday morning, March 28, 2024, in his residence. Mr. Kent was born June 4, 1970, in New Castle, a son of Joseph Kent, Sr., and Carol (McCormick) Kent. Steven enjoyed working with his hands, especially building model cars and fixing appliances. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed rooting for Dale Earnhardt, Sr. Steven prided himself on his charitable donations to many organizations, particularly St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and was a member of the Christopher Reeve Foundation. Above all, he loved his family, they will dearly miss being able to spend time with him and his endless jokes. Steven is survived by his mother, Carol Kent, New Castle; the mother of his children and lifelong friend, Bobbie Grannis, New Castle; two daughters, Christina Kent (Brendan), New Galilee, and Aimee Caldararo (Christopher), New Castle; five sons, Michael Kent (Sarah), Wampum, Stephen Kent, Jr. (Hope), New Castle, Brian Kent (Katelynn), and Jonathan Kent (Abby), all of Beaver Falls, and Daniel Kent (Shyanne), New Galilee; a brother, James Kent, Sr., New Galilee; two sisters, Tami Kent, New Castle, and Sheryle Show, Portersville; and 19 grandchildren. Steven was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Kent, Sr.; a brother, Joseph Kent, Jr.; and a nephew, Joseph Kent III. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
