Theresa Marie Habib

Theresa Marie Habib, 87, of Union Twp., passed away Saturday afternoon, February 22, 2025, in UPMC Jameson Hospital. Mrs. Habib was born March 11, 1937, in Boston, MA, a daughter of the late Ben and Mary Ellen (Toasnard) Poirier. She attended and graduated from high school in Boston, MA. Theresa worked as a parts distributor for the former Rosenbaugh Auto LLC, New Castle, until her retirement in 1999. An exceptional baker, she also loved the peace and quiet of sitting on her porch and watching the wildlife. Her greatest joy in life was her family, and she cherished the time spent with her children, grandson, great grandchildren, and her dog, Lexie. Her husband of 61 years, Samuel Habib, whom she married in South Weymouth, MA, preceded her in death on July 5, 2018. Theresa is survived by a daughter, Genevieve "Jen" Habib, New Castle; a son, Joseph Habib, New Castle; a sister, Anita Brady; a brother Alan Poirier; a grandson, James Reeble (Kelly), Bessemer; and two great granddaughters, Karli and Maitlyn. In addition to her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by a son, Samuel Habib Jr.; and a brother, Charles Poirier. In keeping with Theresa's wishes there will be no services.
