Theresa Harkulich Obituary
Theresa L. (Salatino) Harkulich, 79, of Hermitage, peacefully joined the Angels on Saturday morning, January 18, 2025, with her daughter at her side.
Theresa was born on April 15, 1945, in Sharon, a daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Pollock) Salatino. A lifelong area resident, she was a 1963 graduate of Farrell High School.
While in school she began working at the former Rembrandt Photography and remained there until it closed following a fire. She then started working at Abby's Photography on Chestnut St., Sharon. Following her career in the photography business, she began working as a bridal consultant for the former Marks Bridal and later working as a consultant at Helen Freed's in the former Shenango Valley Mall and downtown Sharon.
Theresa eventually retired as a bank teller from Citizens Bank, Hermitage where she made many friends. She was a selfless and caring person and following retirement worked for NuChoice Home Care where she continued helping others.
Theresa was a devout Catholic and a member of both Our Lady of Fatima Church, Farrell and Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage, at the latter, serving as a Eucharistic Minister and belonging to several prayer groups. Theresa served as Treasurer of the Blue Army of Our Lady of Fatima and participated in the Rosary March held every October.
A phenomenal baker, she was famous for her nut rolls and nut horns. Theresa also enjoyed horseback riding and dancing and went line dancing weekly with her friends.
Above all, she deeply loved and cared for her family. Theresa continued a tradition she started with her children and carried on with her granddaughters by visiting Pymatuning Deer Park, Jamestown annually. She regularly gathered for breakfast with family every Tuesday and Friday after Church, loved walking her dog and decorating her home for the holidays, especially Christmas. She was an amazing mom and "nana".
She is survived by her son, Andrew Harkulich, Farrell; and her daughter, Michelle Wolf and her husband Rob, Sharpsville; and two grandchildren, Kaeyla Harkulich and Sofie Wolf.
In addition to her parents, Theresa was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Lucas and her husband Walter; a brother, Joseph "Joey" Salatino, Jr.; two nephews, Les and Matthew Lucas; and her beloved dog, Misty.
The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to an animal shelter of the donor's choice.
