Thomas Edward Hamm

Thomas Edward Hamm, 79, passed away peacefully at 3:00 p.m. on Friday November 25, 2022 at the Cleveland Clinic following a short illness. Tom was born in Hohenwald, Tennessee on May 1, 1943 the son of Richard H. and Velma Z.(Ary) Hamm. He was a Lakeview High School graduate and retired in 1996 as a foreman for the General Motors Company, Lordstown Plant following 30 years of faithful service. He was also a part of the family business of thoroughbred race horses both here in the Warren area and their Florida stables. Tom cherished the time spent with his grandchildren, family functions and horse racing activities. Following his retirement, Tom and Carol considered Niles their summer home and their horse ranch in Florida their winter home. Tom is survived by his wife Carol A. (Fair) Hamm whom he married October 12, 1963; two sons, Thomas C. and his wife Amy Hamm of Lexington, Kentucky, Timothy E. Hamm of Morriston, Florida and Shawna Hamm of North Jackson, Ohio; six grandchildren, Alyssa (Josh) Eades, Haylee Hamm, Taylor Hamm, Shane Hamm, Tori Hamm, Olivia Hamm; three great grandchildren Elianna, Everly and Casey Thomas; four sisters, Louise (Bob) Lilley of Lakeland, Florida, Faye Hines of Palm Bay, Florida, Carolyn Osborne ofCortland, Diane (Joseph) Parkinson of Ponte Verda, Florida; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, November 28, 2022 at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home, 126 West Park Avenue, Niles, Ohio 44446 where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 with calling hours one hour before the service on Tuesday.
