James Morgan Obituary

Mr. James Ray "Bud" Morgan, 61, of Chatsworth, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2009, at Murray Medical Center.Bud served his country in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a Master Mason of the Eton Masonic Lodge No. 509 F and AM.He was preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe and Elizabeth Spence Morgan, and a son, Jason James Morgan.Survivors include his wife, Barbara Morgan; a daughter, Karen Morgan; grandsons, Justin Shoemaker and Zachary Shoemaker all of Chatsworth; sisters, Georgia Wedin of Texas and Marylin Burdwell of Idaho; nieces and nephews.Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Cochran officiating. Burial will be in Murray Memorial Gardens with Masonic Rites provided by the Eton Masonic Lodge No. 509 F and AM followed by a white dove release and military honors.The family will receive friends at the funeral home all day Thursday until the funeral hour on Friday.Peeples Funeral Home and Crematory of Chatsworth is in charge of the funeral arrangements.

Bud and I worked many years together at Coronet in the 80's. I remember one day in tufting when Karen brought Justin by to see his granddad. It just so happen that our boss' name was Justin as well. I paged Bud and told him that "Justin wanted to see him right now!"He thought he was going to get chewed out for something when in fact it was "little Justin" to see him.

Justin,And Zachary I work with your grand dad some at Beaulieu. He was for ever talking about you boys I felt as if I knew you.I would bring a news paper in when yalls picture and 99 out of 100 I would ask if he wanted the picture and he would say I already got it .He was so proud of yall and loved you both .
My heart goes out to you and your family.
