Danielle Davis Obituary

Danielle A. Davis
1976 - 2016
SKOWHEGAN - Danielle A. Davis passed away August 7, 2016. Danielle was born on Dec. 1, 1976 in Skowhegan, the daughter of Maureen and Daniel Davis. She attended Skowhegan schools, Hebron Academy and Antioch College.
Danielle worked for her own company in Cleveland and returned to Maine to work for her family's business. Most recently, she worked for T-Mobile where she was well liked and respected for her collegiality, leadership, and dependability.
Danielle was creative and always intellectually interested. She was deeply loved by her parents and siblings and friend. Her nieces and nephews adored her; she was the only adult they knew in the family who was willing to play endless games of skeet ball, spend hours at Ken's arcade, and go on any park ride they wanted. And she enjoyed it.
Danielle loved her son Lennox and the two had a special bond; he was her heart and her soul. They loved spending their time watching movies, going to the drive in, vacationing in Barbados, and reading Harry Potter together. She truly enjoyed teaching him new things about the stars, the universe, and interesting places on earth.
Danielle loved people and people loved her. She had many friends. She had a generous soul and her friends knew this about her. She was trustworthy and empathetic, willing to listen and comfort. Her friends felt her passion for human rights, and her willingness to fiercely defend those who were bullied and didn't have a voice. She loved glamour and expressed it in her high heel shoes! Friends loved her laugh; it was infectious. She was quick to find the humor in any situation and at the same time she was a beautiful, free spirit. She will be missed by so many.
Danielle was predeceased by her father Daniel Davis. She is survived by her son Lennox Davis; her mother Maureen Davis; her sister Michaele Layng, husband Robert, and their children Annalise, Harper, Emantu, and Finan, her brother Zebulun Davis, his wife Gina, and their children, Nora, and Emmett.
A private family service will be held to celebrate Danielle's life.
Arrangements under the direction and care of Dan & Scott's Cremation & Funeral Service, 445 Waterville Road, Skowhegan, Maine 04976.

I miss you Danielle . My son Isaiah still remembers playing with Lennox and inherited his outgrown stylish clothes. You enjoyed living large and it even showed with your large grand Dane dogs. Our memories we had together still live on.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Davis family. Dani was truly an unusual person, feeling and seeing deeply...viewing the complexities of life and not suffering fools gladly. Although my tenure as Dani's teacher was only three years...and years ago, we communicated through fb in recent years. My wife and I will always remember the love Dani showed when lighting a candle for her grandmother at a Moscow cathedral in 1990. Dani was a great support on that trip, serving as a de facto counselor and go-between with other students and helping us.Lennox must always remember what an extraordinary person his mother was...and that she loved him dearly, more than anything in the world. Rest in Peace, Dani.

Words cannot express the sorrow. Danielle was an exceptional person who always brought a smile to my face. The world is less alive without her huge personality in it. My deepest sympathies go out to the whole Davis family. Rest in peace Dani. You will be greatly missed by all who knew you. Much love,

Kate

Sending my sincerest sympathies to Danielle's family and close friends. I've known Danielle since Kindergarten and have many fond memories of her. A few that come to mind were the numerous garage parties at her house, the telephone chain we'd begin on Saturday afternoons to get "the crew" to the Strand to watch a movie, and the scary movies all of us girls would record at Beth's dad's house. Danielle had the best fake scream I've ever heard! I hope all of her family and friends will reflect upon their fondest memories of Danielle at this time.

I'm sending so very much love to Danielle's family and I think Lennox will remain in my thoughts for eternity. I remember Danielle's light vividly. Such a strong, caring, intelligent and considerate woman, I am saddened to hear that she is gone but bolstered and proud that I was able to know her in this world. Danielle truly left a positive impact on all she touched.

Sending all my love to Danielle's family in this time of sadness. Danielle was a smart, beautiful, amazing woman - though I will always remember her as the smiling, spunky, independent girl that I grew up with. Her laughter will always be remembered. Rest in peace, Danielle.
