Daphne Kenniston Obituary

WATERVILLE -- Daphne Hall Kenniston, 90, passed away at the Maine General Rehabilitation & Nursing Home -- Gray Birch in Augusta on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007, with her family at her side.

Daphne was born Feb. 8, 1917, in Waterville, the daughter of Joseph H. and Gladys Rose (Estes) Hall. She was a graduate of Waterville High School, class of 1934. Daphne married Malcolm N. Kenniston of Pittsfield, on June 6, 1943. She was an active member of the Pleasant Street United Methodist Church for more than 70 years.

She is predeceased by her parents, one brother and one sister.

Daphne is survived by her husband; two daughters, Nancy J. of Hallowell, and Patricia J. Davies and her husband, John, of Yarmouth; one son, Terrance Kenniston and his wife and special daughter-in-law, Linda, of Augusta; five grandchildren, one niece and three nephews.

There will be no visiting hours. Graveside services will be held in the spring at Friend's Cemetery, Fairfield Center.

Daphne has requested no flowers but instead has said "Send a Yellow Rose to a Friend."

The family would like to thank the staff at Gray Birch for their compassion and support.
