Janet L. Farnsworth

LEWISTON -- Janet L. Farnsworth, 55, a resident of Winthrop Road, Readfield, died Thursday morning, May 28, 2009, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center where she had been a patient for the past two days.

She was born Aug. 3, 1953, in Augusta, the daughter of Grover and Mildred (Pettengill) Dyer. Janet graduated from Winthrop High School.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren and helping the local churches and people throughout the community.

She is survived by her mother, Mildred Dyer of Winthrop; former husband, Dennis Farnsworth of Leeds; three daughters and their husbands, Denise and Michael Buck of Winthrop, Jennifer and Daniel Breton of Augusta and Jo Ellynn and Eugene Drake of Livermore Falls; two sons, Dennis Farnsworth II and his wife, Angie, of Lagrange, and Johnathan Farnsworth and his companion, Tammy, of Lewiston; 20 grandchildren; three brothers, David Dyer and his wife, Linda, of Winthrop, Steve Dyer of Winslow and Michael Dyer and his wife, Susan, of Dresden; and four sisters, Judith Cochran of Canaan, Faith Dyer and her husband, Ed, of Monmouth, Donna Dyer of Manchester and Kathy Wadley and her husband, Paul, of West Gardiner.

She was predeceased by her grandson Michael Scott Buck II.
