Jerry Michael Devaney
1943 - 2017
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Jerry Michael Devaney, 74, of Kansas City, Mo., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017, at the Lindenwoods Village. Jerry was born Jan. 28, 1943, to John and Dorothy (Ross) Devaney, in Kansas City.
He graduated from Hogan High in Kansas City in 1959, and on Dec. 8, 1960, he joined the Army. He also served several years in the Army Reserves. On June 19, 1971, Jerry married the Jaunita Meyer, the love of his life. The couple enjoyed traveling and seeing the sights together.
Jerry enjoyed his 80's music and reading books from his huge book collection. On occasion he enjoyed betting on the ponies. During his free time he loved watching the Three Stooges, the Simpsons and Laurel and Hardy, and any show about the military. Jerry will always be remembered as a true patriot and member of the NRA. He also loved spending time with the grandchildren, whether it was reading books to them or playing games.
Jerry is preceded in death by his father; and his wife of 32 years. He is survived by his mother; a daughter Charlene and husband Will Craig of Kansas City, and a son Scott Devaney of Revere, Mass.; grandchildren Cory, Kyle, Leah, Meadow, and Danica; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, Nov. 13, 2017, from 3 to 7 p.m. with Mass Services on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St Patrick Parish,1357 NE 42nd Terrace, Kansas City. Burial to follow in Leavenworth National Cemetery. Share online condolences at TerraceParkFuneral.com.

I would like to offer my sincere condolences to Jerry's family, sorry for your loss. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us that God is thinking thoughts of peace towards us, to give us a future and a hope, may that bring you comfort in this time of sorrow.
