He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Phyllis (Washburn) Whittemore; sons Jerry Washburn and wife Faith, Troy Whittemore and girlfriend Roberta Robbins, and Kevin Whittemore and girlfriend Tina Turner; daughters Julie Collins and husband Ted, Karen Dart and husband Bob, and Tammy Hamlin and husband Dale; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren (with one more great-grandchild on the way); sisters Linda Clement and family, Paula Settles and husband the Rev. Richard, and Noreen Settles and husband Bob.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, at Southside Cemetery, Skowhegan.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be made to Phyllis Whittemore, c/o Troy Whittemore, P.O. Box 206, Norridgewock, ME 04957.
Kerry touched every heart he ever came in contact with. He will be extremely missed by all.

May God comfort you in your loss. I remember Kerry especially when we were growing up and he would come to visit at Grammie and Grampa's with Uncle Phil, Aunt Lina, Linda, Paula, and Noreen. We were all pretty shy and didn't say much to each other,but we were glad for each visit.
