He was born in Waterville July 6, 1949, the son of Roger and Priscilla (Gerow) Veilleux.
He was educated in the Winslow school system and graduated from Winslow High School, class of 1967. Mark served in the Vietnam War while in the Marine Corps from 1967 to 1971. He was employed by Maine Central Railroad for 15 years. For the last 22 years, he was employed by Bath Iron Works. Mark was a lifetime member of the MacCrillis Rousseau Post 8835, Veterans of Foreign Wars, in Winslow. He was a member of Bourque-Lanigan Post 5, American Legion, in Waterville and the Waterville Lodge of Elks 905.
Survivors include his mother, Priscilla, of Cape Coral, Fla.; brothers and sisters, William Veilleux and his wife, Brenda, and Roger Veilleux Jr. and his wife, Jane, all of Winslow, Victor Veilleux, Leon Veilleux and his wife, Amanda, Joanne Morency and her husband, Dave, Vincent Veilleux and his wife, Judy, William Veilleux and his wife, Brenda, Peter, Elaine, and Mary Veilleux, Roger Veilleux, Jr. and his wife, Jane, and Christine L'ttomedeau and her husband, Darren, all of Cape Coral, Fla.; his significant other, Deborah A. Albert of Winslow; and by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Roger Veilleux Sr., in 1992.
Visiting hours will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, at the Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville with a funeral service at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Frank Morin officiating. Committal prayers and burial with military honors will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the new Maine Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 163 Mount Vernon Road, Augusta. A celebration of his life will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at the Winslow Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall, Veterans Drive in Winslow. Family and friends are welcome to attend all services.

sorry to hear of marks death i have a pictore of mr mark and my dad at my home in oakland mark my dad my uncle melvin spent alot of time at big johns i will always remember his green dodge pukking up and mark coming in the back door iremember mark timmy and me as kids always together as kids i love you mark and will always remember that laugh so many times at big johns and at grammeys on sanger ave see you again and miss you now
