Peter Gosselin Obituary
He was born in Augusta on Jan. 10, 1980, son of Peter and Susan G. (Laliberte) Gosselin.
Mr. Gosselin was a graduate of Cony High School, class of 1998. He attended Kennebec Valley Community College and graduated from the line worker technology program.
He worked for a period of time as a line worker for On Target Utility Services, and most recently had been employed by Porter Drywall.
Mr. Gosselin was a communicant of St. Augustine Catholic Church.
Little Peter had a passion for life and enjoyed the outdoors, snowmobiling, four-wheeling and tinkering with cars, and had a knack for fixing things. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, taxidermist and fly-tier and had many stories to tell of his adventures. Little Peter had the ability to put a smile on anybody's face just by his presence and personality. When anyone needed a hand, he was always there to help and gladly shared whatever he owned with his extended family and friends.
He always enjoyed family gatherings and especially spending time at his favorite place, Moosehead Lake. He will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Mr. Gosselin was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Laurier F. and Joan (Campeau) Gosselin; his grandfather,Conrad Laliberte; an uncle, Michael Gosselin; and a cousin, Scot Laliberte.
He is survived by his parents, Peter and Susan G. (Laliberte) Gosselin, of Sidney; his brother, Ryan Gosselin and his wife, Sara, and his very special niece, Ally Gosselin, all of Sidney; maternal grandparents Larry and Florence (Robichaud) Lahaye, of Augusta; several aunts and uncles; his beloved dog, Brookie; and special influences in his life, June, Zeke, Shon and Chad Theriault, Shawn Gosselin, Billy Laliberte, Rita Bilodeau and Jeff Laliberte.
Visiting hours are 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 11, at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Northern Avenue, Augusta. Spring burial will be held.
Those who desire may make donations in Peter's name to: Kennebec Valley Humane Society, 10 Pet Haven Lane, Augusta, ME 04330.

Dear Sue,
I am so so sorry that you are going through this. When we have our children and hold them in our arms as little babies, we have all the hopes and dreams of the world for them. If we are lucky, they grow up and become wonderful people. I did not know your son Peter, but from what I have read about him it sounds like he touched many people. Words cannot console you I am sure, so I hope that the memories of him and how great he was will help you.

I feel so sad right now. Such a tragic loss which only the power of God's love can help us get through. I fondly remember Peter as a young boy in my second grade classroom. I remember him as a cheerful, energetic, attractive child raised in a very caring family. My prayers and condolences go out to all of the members of Peter's family.

Sue, Peter, Ryan, Sarah and family,
This has been so hard to deal with. I loved Pete like a brother. When I think of Pete I just have to laugh. When ever Pete and I were together at a party yrs ago by the end of the night we would jokingly wrestle and I would always make sure he didnt treat me like a girl(and he didnt)neither one of us would give up til the both of us couldnt breath anymore. He also made sure that where ever we were if Matt was not there to keep a eye on me Pete made sure he was. We would hang out all night long together and laugh. Matt never had to worry about me has long has Pete was there. I can go on all day with all the great memories I have with Pete. Im going to miss him a great deal. i dont know if any of you remember me, but my name is kaci lovell, and i know what its like to lose a loved one at such and early age. i lost my brother in april of 07. it was and still is the hardest thing i have had to go through in my life. my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. now my brother has someone else with him to keep him company. at least they are out of harms way. and are in a better place. im not gonna say it will get better, or any of that stuff, cuz then i would be lyin. all i can say is time heals all wounds and it makes it a lil easier to deal with. but the pain is always there. but they know we are wishin they were here with us. and they can see everything that goes on from this point on in our lives. whether it be good or bad
