Philip Bard Obituary

WINSLOW -- Philip Samuel Bard passed away Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007, at Mercy Home in Eagle Lake, following a long illness.

Phil was born May 19, 1929, in Stockholm, the son of Samuel and Elsie (Collin) Bard. He was raised in St. Agatha where he graduated from Wisdom High School in 1948. He moved to Winslow in 1950 and he resided there most of his life. Phil worked as a salesman for Harris Baking Company for nearly 20 years. Afterward, he operated a real estate practice in Winslow for 30 years.

Philip is survived by the mother of their four children, Jacqueline (Dufour) Bard of South Portland; his children, Paul and his wife, Kathleen (Cooper), of Winslow, Mark and his wife, Judith (LaCroix), of Winslow, Karen of Biddeford, and Janet and her husband, Kenneth Lefebvre, of Westbrook; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; his brother, Richard and his wife, Anna (Drost), of Winslow; his brother, Samuel, and his sisters, Arlene and her husband, Bernard Mailloux, and Jacqueline Veronese, all of Connecticut.

His brother, Robert, formerly of Connecticut, preceded Phil in death.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at St. John Catholic Church in Winslow followed by a reception in the St. John's School cafeteria. Any memorial donations may be made to St. John Catholic School, Garand Street, Winslow, ME 04901.
