He was born in Augusta on May 31, 1924, son of Bruno and Sophie (Bourgoin) St. Pierre. He was an Army and Marine veteran, having served during World War II.
He is survived by his children, Ann Grimshaw and husband Richard, of Randolph and Florida, Billy St. Pierre and wife, Audrey, of Chelsea, Janet Silva of Windsor and Bambi St. Pierre of Cumberland; his loyal companion, Casey; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins; dear friends Ronnie and wife Bonnie Ayotte; as well as many other friends.
A special thank-you goes to the Hospice and Palliative Care Unit, which made his last days peaceful and comfortable at Togus VA Medical Center.
A celebration of Richard's life will be held in the spring. Those who wish may make donations in Richard's memory to an animal shelter of their choice. On-line condolences may be offered to the family at www.directcremationofmaine.com.

I was so sorry to hear that Uncle Richard had passed. I remember visiting him as a child and how he was always smiling and laughing. Such a sweet, handsome and gentle man just like his brother, our Dad. Uncle Richard was a favorite Uncle of mine. My heart goes out to his family. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I was so sadden to hear of Uncle Richard's passsing, He was so like my Dad, gentle souls. I remember many visits with Uncle Richard, he made my Dad laugh with his many stories.
