Tasha Dunham Obituary

LEWISTON -- Our beloved Tasha Marie Dunham, 28, of Livermore Falls got her wings on Thursday evening, June 15, 2006, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Waterville on May 22, 1978, a daughter of Tawni Fuller. She was a 1996 graduate of Mt. Blue High School and a 2001 graduate of the University of Central Florida, where she received a degree in psychology. She was enrolled in the graduate program at the University of Southern Maine and was employed at the Murphy Center for Children in Auburn.

On July 9, 2000, she married Desmond Dunham in Detroit.

Tasha enjoyed her family and special friends and loved to travel. Camping, canoeing, hiking, skiing, knitting, scrapbooking and music were some of the many activities that she enjoyed in her life.

She is survived by her husband, Desmond, of Livermore Falls; her mother, Tawni Shaw and her husband, Charlie, of Detroit; brothers, Timothy Clark of Newport, Charles Shaw IV of Norfolk, Va., Christopher LaGrange of Florida and a foster brother, Patrick Bond of Belgrade; sisters, Heidy Mullen of Canaan, Jessica Shaw of Burnham and Sueann Call of Waterville; her mother and father-in-law, Anita and Jeff Dunham of Wilton; two special nephews, Sebastian and Tristan Clark of Newport; a special uncle, Timothy Fuller of Clinton; maternal grandmother, Antoinette King of Chico, Calif.; maternal grandfather, William Fuller III of Clinton; many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and the student body of the Margaret Murphy School.

Relatives and friends are invited to call from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, at Wiles Remembrance Center, 308 Franklin Road in Jay. A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the center. Interment will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Village Cemetery in Detroit.

Tasha's request is that those who attend her visitation and service be dressed casually and not in black, and that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Autism Society of Maine, 72B Main St., Winthrop, ME 04324. On-line condolences may be sent to wilesfuneral [email protected].
