Albert W. Gaines, 78
     FAIRPORT, N.Y. - Albert W. Gaines, 78, passed away on Jan. 14, 2006 at home surrounded by his family after a long illness.
     He was born in Revere, Mass., on Aug. 17, 1927, the son of Albert and Theresa Gaines.
     Predeceased by daughter, Teresa Collier and brother, Leonard Gaines, he is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mildred (O'Brien) Gaines; son, Albert (Janet) of Farmington, N.Y.; daughter, Martha McRea of Cumberland; five nephews, Carl (Caroline) Morrison of Scarborough, Stephen (Carol) Gaines of Oklahoma, William Gaines of North Carolina, Dennis (Karen) Gaines of Texas, David (Yu Chen) Gaines of Texas; and several great nieces and nephews.
     He was employed by the American Can Company for 35 years. After retiring he worked for a hazardous waste company and as a driver for The Pittsford Florist.
     He was also a member of the Town of Perinton Conservation Board 1987-1991. He was also a member of the Silver Foxes for several years.
     Friends are welcome to call Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Richard H. Keenan Funeral Home, (Egypt Location,) 7501 Pittsford Palmyra Rd., Fairport. A Mass will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at the Church of the Resurrection, Fairport. Spring Interment will be in Green Acres Cemetery in Lubec Maine.
