I am so sorry to hear of the tragic loss of Josh. I was his First Grade teacher. He always had a smile, and he would even laugh at my corny jokes. He sure loved recess. No matter what game he was playing, he gave it his all.God bless.

Jill told me of your loss and my heart bleeds for you! I know the pain you are feeling as I lost my daughter Amanda (Mandy)in November of 2008.
Your Son Josh sounds like he was an amazing young man and I think he and Mandy would have found they had lots in common and would have gotten along well.

The first day I met josh, I was shy because I was meeting new people. He looked at me and said, "so why arent you talking?" Josh, your an amazing young man. You are in so many peoples hearts. I firmly believe Jim and Gloria were there to meet him as soon as he arrived and we all know he is in good hands with them.

No words are adequate at this difficult time, but I hope they bring a few moments of comfort. I have always admired what a great Mom you are. How you balanced work and sports and doing everything you could to give your kdis the best - was an inspiration for all of us. You and Josh were great together - his great smile is your's~ Josh was an awesome kid and I enjoyed watching him grow up and succeed at everything he did. Sweet sweet Amanda. This is a terrible loss for you. I know only too well how horrible it is to lose a sibling. I always saw that you were a wonderful and loving sister. You were always so good to him and I never saw any friction or sibling rivalry. That always amazed me. You have always been wiser and more mature than your years-just like your mom was at your age. She was always light years ahead of all of us in the maturity department. I see you have those wonderful qualities that she has. You and Josh were always very special to me.

I can barely write this through the tears in my eyes. My week-end in Rangeley was filled with memories of our wonderful and fun times when you all came up on the fourth of July each year. I could hear Josh's voice while he was fishing off the dock and yelling up to you both when he got a bite. He had a beautiful singing voice and I remember trying to bribe him to sing for us at the camp. So much fun--and the moose watching after dark in the expedition. Amanda and Josh are two very special children in my heart.They were always very polite,articulate,funny, and an absolute pleasure to be with. I know things have been very hard, but I was always amazed at what wonderful parents you both were. Your children truely seemed happy. It was so obvious how your children were your life.I am so deeply sorry. Anne, you are always and will always be in my heart. There are some bonds that just cannot be broken.

Thank you to everyone for expressing your thoughts and memories of Josh. He truly was an amazing child and so very loved by all. He would light up a room whenever he entered it and was always happy. He excelled at everything he did. As his mom, my heart is broken and there is a very large hole. We sincerely appreciate the outpouring of love that we have received. There is a website set up for Josh with photos, mementos and details about an upcoming fishing derby in his honor. The site name is JoshLibby.com.
