Rev. Cobb was the minister at the Universalist Church in Dolgeville when I was a child. I was allowed to the classes and become a member of the church just before he left even though I was not quite old enough because I had wanted to have Rev. Cobb be the one to bring me into the church. We have kept in touch throughout the years.
His passing makes me sad but I know he lives on through all the people whose lives he touched. He helped shape my views on the universe and thus my life.
I enjoyed receiving his Christmas letter every year.
I will remember him fondly.

There can never be a replacement for this uniquely gifted and giving man. I feel profoundly fortunate to have had him as a friend for 27 years and as my primary mentor in ministry. He fought the good fight, and I think it is no exaggeration to say that thousands of lives were bettered because of his presence in the world. My condolences to his family and especially to Martha.

My mentor and dear friend for 30 years. So very special. Words can not express the extent of my gratitude for having known and loved this wise, witty, and beautiful man. (Maurice, I miss you already.)

Cannot say enough good things about my friend Maurice. It was a privilege to know him. I'll miss our birthday lunches and our lengthy phone conversations discussing what we could do to make the world a better place.
