GORHAM -- Phyllis Aline Bogner, 90, of New Portland Road and formerly of Hillsdale, N..J, died Friday, Jan.14, 2011 at a Gorham health care facility. Born in Jersey City, N.J., she was a daughter of William Joseph and Mary Ellen O'Farrell Walsh. She was a graduate of St. Cecilia Catholic High School and also graduated from secretarial college. Mrs. Bogner was a legal secretary for many years. She was a member and past president of the Rosary and Altar Society in New Jersey and active in the Catholic Church all her life. She enjoyed sewing, bowling and was a wonderful cook. In her later years, she took up painting. She was very creative and took part in many of her grandchildren's activities.
Mrs. Bogner was predeceased by her husband, Laurence E. Bogner in May of 2010. Surviving are her children, Elizabeth O'Connor and her husband, Thomas of Westbrook, Brendan Walsh of New Jersey and Larry Bogner and his wife, Heidi of Maryland; eight grandchildren, Patrick, Keelin, Thomas, Kaitlin, Megan, Brendan, Liam and Fionna; several nieces, nephews, cousins and her special niece, Lorraine Doonan.
Graveside services will be held in St. Hyacinth's Cemetery in Westbrook in the spring. Arrangements by the Dolby & Dorr Funeral Chapel, Gorham. Online condolences may be left at www.dolbyfuneralchapels.com.
