Perhaps the best manager I ever encountered. Worked for him as a college student. Never felt more valued. He came in to bring me my anniversary chocolates over Christmas (mid 80s). Amazing man.

To Robin's Family: Robin amplified so many important qualities. Courage. Generosity. Compassion. Commitment. Enthusiasm. Joy. Love. Wit. Humor.
He lived life large. He also left us feeling better and more understanding of things he cared about.
Did he make a difference . Oh, yes, and we are all richer for having known him and having had him among us.

My Dear Friend Jodi:
I can't begin to express how much I feel saddened for your loss. I have known you a great many years, and in that time, I also had the pleasure in meeting and spending time with your father. He welcomed me with open arms, and was able to spend time with the both of you on Monhegan. How special that time was for me. My thoughts and prayers are with you, my dear friend. He will be sadly missed, but rejoiced on his impact with everyone, in which he came into contact. My deepest sympathy to you and your family. You are in my heart, thoughts and prayers.

Robin was a wonderful compassionate man. Being a friend of Jodi's, I saw that everytime he interacted with his daughter. He always welcomed her friends. Robin was the true definition of welcome. He will always be remembered for his bright smile and his unique outlook on life. He made me laugh everytime I saw him. I am quite sure he is smiling down on us today.

I am overwhlemed by the response and outreach I have experienced over the last few days. I know that is because of what my Dad did during his short but very instrumental life for the people of Maine. SO thank you everyone for your support during this very difficult and emotional time for our family. : Robin's Daughter

Robin's passionate commitment to justice will be greatly missed. His work with GLAD on issues of employment discrimination helped to lay the foundation for the protections that we now enjoy in Maine. Beginning at the age of 14, his work for US Senator Margaret Chase Smith, helped to shape his life-long commitment to social justice. He was deeply committed to the sentiments found in Senator Smith's Declaration of Conscience.
