Today, I was just thinking of my old friend, whom I called Cumpari Nick, via my job as Med Staff Secretary at Paoli Hospital. Today being Veterans Day -- he was so proud of his service to our country. Each and every time I watch MASH, I think of him! We shared a lot of laughter and a lot of conversations of a more serious nature over my nearly 30 years with him. I cannot believe he's been gone two years. One of a kind - he will always remain in my heart.

Dr. B was our Family Dr for many years He even took care when my Grandmother passed , came to our house when my dad was very sick.
He will be missed.

So sad to read this . Dr B was my physician for 40 years. He and I had a very special bond, as I'm sure he made all his patients feel that way! I always looked forward to seeing and speaking with him...and of course he always had a good joke to share. I was very sad when he retired a few years ago. He loved what he did and he was great at it. Best Doctor I've ever been treated by. My condolences to his entire family, he was loved by many. RIP Dr B

Chuck and I were so very sorry to hear of Dr. B's passing. Chuck and Lena went to him forever and loved him and out of the kindness of his heart, he took me on even after he was taking no new patients. He was a kind man and we will miss him. God bless you.

At my first appointment with Dr. Battafarano, I said: You must be the famous Dr. B. Dr. B, as we fondly referred to him, responded: You mean infamous. My family went to Dr. B until the day he retired. We were devastated when he retired. I have never met a Doctor more devoted to his patients' wellbeing than Dr. B. Dr. B cared for four generations of my husband's family (Griffin's, Jarrett's, & Davis'). Visits to Dr. Battafarano were always uplifting, as he had an awesome sense of humor. He was more than our family Physician, to all of us, he was family.
Our condolences to Mrs. Battafarano and Family. May you find comfort knowing that Dr. Battafarano will live on in the hearts of all his patients.

Nick's dedication to his patients and his profession is an inspiration. We would frequently greet each other on rounds, any day of the week, holidays included. He never failed to have a smile on his face, and a kind word to say. It seemed that nothing could give him greater pleasure than caring for his patients. My condolences to his family--Nick will be greatly missed and always remembered.

Dr Nick and his wife Maggie were not only a great medical "team" but wonderful friends and neighbors. Dr B was a classmate of our parents, Jim and Nayda Saris, at Hahnemann and we grew up with the family on West Valley Rd and the Jersey shore!
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

We'd meet every morning in the PMH Med Staff Lounge as I was clocking into work and "Cumpari" Nick was already finishing up his morning hospital rounds. An almost 30-year ritual with the two of us sharing family stories and issues. He was passionate about his patients and his family. God rest this man of healing.
