Robert Jeffrey (Jeff) Michael Gibb of Devon Robert Jeffrey (Jeff) Michael Gibb passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Monday April 3, 2017. Son of the late Eric Gibb and Leona Gibb (Stark), dearly beloved husband and soul mate of Darcy (McMahen) Gibb, greatly loved and treasured Dad of Catherine Houdek (Phil), Bridget Gibb (Claude) and Timothy Gibb (Anna). Cherished G’Pop of Sophie, Ollie, Sierra, Edison and Matai. Older brother of Mark Gibb (Pam), Simon Gibb (Karen) and Judith Torr (Peter) and their families. Jeff was born and raised in Picton, New Zealand. He had a long and fulfilling career in the tourism industry, promoting his beautiful home country of New Zealand. After the tourism industry, he had a career in the financial services industry in California. He was known for his hard work and good kiwi humor, wherever he went and whatever he applied himself to. Jeff and Darcy moved back to Darcy’s childhood home in Devon, PA and Jeff began working part time at Tyler Arboretum. Since retiring in 2016 he continued to work seasonally at Tyler Arboretum and volunteered in many different roles for the Devon Horseshow and Tyler Arboretum. Jeff was a man who was loved by all that met him. His genuine nature put people at ease and his ability to find humor in so much, meant he was always fun to be around. He was always curious to learn about others and as such, his community is huge and we are all feeling the tremendous loss. A memorial service was held on Tuesday April 11, 2017 at Wayne Presbyterian Church, Wayne, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Jeff’s memory to Tyler Arboretum, a place he loved to work, volunteer and enjoy nature. Stuard - Ardmore/ Since 1822
