Carolyn Sue Robeson, age 84 of Mabelvale, went home to be with the Lord on January 11, 2025, in Little Rock surrounded by her beloved family. Born in Malvern on June 10, 1940 to the late George F. Tull and Dorotha Buie-Tull.
She grew up in Malvern and graduated from Malvern High School in 1958.
Carolyn was a long time member of Second Baptist Church, Malvern, AR. She was a Member and Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star. She married AJ Robeson on March 7, 1964. She and AJ moved to Little Rock in 1968. Carolyn worked 37 years for the Legislative Audit for the State of Arkansas. She also worked as accountant, bookkeeper, planner, adviser, and many other general duties helping AJ in many business ventures throughout their marriage.
Carolyn enjoyed traveling including many trips with AJ to the Smoky Mountains, Alaska, and Europe. She enjoyed cruising with her sister Jean in the Hawaiian Islands, and a trip to revisit Scotland.
Carolyn loved her grandchildren, Andrew and Ashlynne, they were the light of her life. She never missed a school event and she especially enjoyed watching them play sports from their early ages and was their biggest fan. She never missed soccer, volleyball, baseball, football, cheerleading, gymnastics, and especially basketball games.
After Carolyn retired from the Legislative Audit she enjoyed lunches with "The Girls" she worked with, reunions with high school friends, and Friday night fish dinners with their special friends. Carolyn was an avid reader, loved shopping with her granddaughter Ashlynne, and shopping for antiques. A highlight of her day was getting a text from her grandson Andrew telling her what channel and time the Razorbacks were playing so that she and Papa wouldn't miss the game.
She was preceded in death by sisters Jean Prince (J.T. Prince) and Paula Pulliam (Bill Pulliam); brother-in-law, David Robeson; sister-in-laws, JoAnn Sullivan, Pauline Kelly, Vivian Wilcox, and Eunice "Nita" House.
Carolyn leaves behind to cherish her memory husband, A. J.; son, Anthony J. "Tony" Robeson and wife, Carla, of Little Rock; grandson, Andrew J. Robeson and granddaughter, Ashlynne R. Robeson (boyfriend Clayton Nelson); special nieces, Julie Howard, Stephanie Hegde, along with many other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held at 10:00am Saturday morning April 26, 2025, followed by a Memorial service at 11:00am in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home, Malvern, AR. with Brother Chris Morrison officiating. Private interment will follow in Cooper Cemetery.
