Obviously my mother Betty Shaw Powers
Loved her brother Allen because Allen is my middle name. Herbie was a rock in many ways but demonstrated a wonderful soft and empathetic side as well. He never forgot his Vermont roots and throughout his life he stayed in close contact with Vermont and his Yankee relatives. He was the last of a great foresome of achieving solid siblings and a tribute to his rock solid Mother. His passing creates a great void in all of his families lives. Michael Allen Powers
