Warren Fuller Obituary

Dorset - Warren Davis Fuller, born March 30, 1932 to Barbara and Frank Fuller of Springfield, MA died at home June 6, 2017. He was a graduate of Classical High School and Middlebury College 1954 with a combined English and Psychology Major. During his college years he played football, co-captained the tennis team and enjoyed skiing. He wrote for the college newspaper and had a radio D.J program. He was a member of DU and the Blue Key. He helped write and direct an original musical (Just Around the Corner Is Love) and his real highlight was meeting classmate Nancy Stevens and they married in 1954.

Warren served two years in the Army Signal Corps at Fort Benning, GA before joining Connecticut General Life Insurance Co. in December, 1957.

Over Warren's 35-year career he worked for the Health Care Insurance Industry in several management positions. Over the years he and his family relocated from Hartford, CT to Columbia, MD and to Villanova PA before retiring to Landgrove, VT, in 1992. For 10 years Warren was President & CEO of Howard Research & Development, the Connecticut General/Rouse joint corporate venture which created the new City of Columbia, MD. Warren's final 8 years were spent as President & CEO of IntraCorp, a National Health Care Subsidiary of CIGNA.

Since retiring, he had been a Board member and President of the Mountain Valley Medical Center in Londonderry, VT, Selectman and Board Chair of Landgrove, VT, Finance Committee member of Springfield Hospital, VT and served as Governor President and Trustee of Ekwanok Golf Club, Manchester, VT.

Warren was a devoted family man and friend. He loved fishing and hunting trips with close friends and passionately followed his sports teams. He particularly enjoyed flying and proudly had his instrument rated pilot's license. He was an avid skier, golfer and loved all of the racquet sports. Not a day passed without his morning routine of coffee, the paper and the completion of the NYT crossword puzzle.

Warren leaves his wife Nancy, a daughter Lee, a son-in-law Jock, a grandson Alex, a granddaughter Phoebe, and an adopted son Peter and daughter Sarah. He was predeceased by both parents and five children.

SERVICES: A private family service will inter him at Landgrove, VT cemetery.
