To Joan's family,
I learned to know Joan when I moved to Petoskey, Michigan in 1968. That is also the time I learned to know her brother, Bob and family. I have always appreciated her friendship. She was a very unique, caring and loving person. May her soul rest in peace. With love in the Risen Christ, Alma Coffman

I was fortunate to have been acquainted with Joan on a personal and professional level. Joan married my cousin Dans' Uncle Dale so I would briefly visit with Joan at family events. Joan excelled in her nursing achievements and as a nurse myself I know how gratifying that can be. I discovered Joan earned the respect of nurse colleagues and students since I too am a nurse in the Grand Rapids area and familiar with the Kirkhoff School of Nursing. My condolences to Joan's family and dear friends.
