Marian Lois Hilliard, age 88, of Manistee, MI, passed away peacefully on the morning of Wednesday, April 2, 2025, in Ludington, MI. She was born on December 8, 1936, in East Lake, MI, and was the daughter of the late Agnes and Arthur Johnson. She graduated with her GED in 1978. Marian married James Hilliard on May 4, 1985, at the Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Manistee, MI.
During her working career, she was employed with County Services and spent many years as a respected civil service worker and was known for her dedication to clients and community. Marian enjoyed attending church, their pet Toby, cooking, her house plants and spending time and holidays with her family.
Marian is survived by her husband, James Dale Hilliard; her two sisters, Judith Lane and Janice Witowski; her children, Brenda Helminiak, Steven Adamczak, Tommy Adamczak, Cindy Utt and Deborah Varga, along with their stepchildren, James Hilliard, Gary Hilliard, Keneth Hilliard, Carolyn Hillard, Marilyn Jerome, Steven Hilliard, Dianne Hilliard and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The Herbert Funeral Home of Manistee is in charge of arrangements.
