Bonnie L. Callahan

GALION: Bonnie L. Callahan, 62, of Crestline, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at MedCentral/Mansfield Hospital, Mansfield, after a long illness.

Bonnie was born in Galion on May 9, 1951 to the late Samuel B. Scribner and Betty J. (Lewis) Scribner Miller. She married David L. Callahan on July 3, 1990 and he survives her.

Bonnie lived in Galion all of her life and was a 1969 graduate of Galion High School. She was employed by Mansfield Memorial Nursing Home as an Activities Director, also working in the Payroll and Billing departments. Bonnie was also an STNA. She was a life time member of AMVETS Post #1979, Galion. Bonnie's favorite place to be on earth was at the ocean with her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Dave and spending time with her grandchildren, especially on the beach at the ocean and the zoo. She took great pleasure tending to her roses, playing music on her guitar and singing. When it came to music, Bonnie was a very quick study.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three sons: Gary Damron Jr., Galion, Tom Damron, Galion, David and Jamie Parsons, Crestline, her two stepchildren; Ritchie Callahan, Kentucky, and Robin Hall, Kentucky, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, six step grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews, her three brothers and four sisters; Miriam and David Campo, Ohio, Paul Scribner, Florida, Sandra Mackey, Galion, Richard and Karen Scribner, Galion, Carol and Dale Montalbano, Texas, and the twins Kathryn Bocci, Galion, and Kenneth Scribner, Minnesota.

Friends may call Saturday, August 24, 2013 from 10:00-12:00 at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Galion where funeral services will be held at noon, with Jeff Staton officiating. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park, Mansfield at a later date.
