He is survived by his devoted wife, Dorothy, and their children: Carolyn (Don), Charlie (Holly), Patsy (Jim), Peter (Judy), Jim, Ann (Dave), and Amy (Greg), and is predeceased by his son, Matthew. He was very proud of his grandchildren: Lacey (Josh), Don, Mike, Annie, Carly, Lauren, Ashley, Matt, Will, Brian, Morgan, Nicolas, Charlie, Grace, Peter and Lindsey. Chuck was one of 12 cousins on our mothers' side and has always been pretty special. My memories go WAY back...especially to the night he passed the bar... Jerry (now my husband of 53 years) and I babysat with their then 3 children (as we did on numerous occasions) and we were so proud of him. We knew he'd be as good a lawyer as he was a cousin and father...and we were so right. The 12 of us are now 4 but all the wonderful memories, as adults as well as children) will last forever.

I had the experience of going to three superbowls with Charlie. I will always remember his intelligence and wit.

Buck was the best grandfather anyone could ask for. He will be missed dearly, but will always remain in our hearts. He had a tremendous influence in my life and I will forever be grateful for his teachings.

Charles Clifford was the best neighbor a person could have. I feel blessed to watch him and his wife raise their lovely family. May he rest in eternity with Christ.

"I will cherish the memory of the first time my good friend Betty Ceccarini and I traveled from UCLA with his son Pete to the Clifford's beautiful home in San Rafael. His parents were the perfect hosts and we had a few good laughs hearing Mr. Clifford tell stories about Pete and the rest of the "Clifford kids." Having worked in the legal arena for nearly 30 years, I was honored to know Mr. Clifford not only as a revered, dedicated legal professional, but also as a true family man. They just don't make them like that anymore."

I worked for Charlie from 1986-1990 as his secretary at Heller Ehrman. He will always be remembered by me as a tremendously generous and gracious person who was well respected by both his colleagues and clients. It was an honor to have known and worked for him. May the memories of 'Cliff' live on in his family and friends.
