Jeanne Conklin-Somers Obituary

Jeanne Conklin-Somers Left us peacefully on December 21, 2007 at her home in Healdsburg following a long but courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by the love of her family and many close friends. Jeanne was born on August 17, 1961 in Novato and graduated from Novato High School in 1979. Out of high school, Jeanne studied merchandising and worked in the restaurant business and traveled extensively before building her family. She is together in heaven with her father, William Conklin, her brother Billy Conklin, and his wife Jenny and her niece Rachel. She is survived by her husband Dave Somers and daughter Sarah Somers, daughter Ashley Ragno, son Casey Ragno, mother Gloria, brothers Hal (Ellen) and Bobby (Lesley), nephews Jeremy, Tyler, Alex, Ryan, Robert, Nathaniel and Seth and nieces Lani and Alexandra. She is also survived by a great-nephew Jayden, her Aunt Danae and Uncle Guy and cousins Tye, Todd, Tiffany and Troy Welch. Jeanne laughed easily and made life richer for all who met her. She had a strength that amazed those who knew her as she endured the pain of the last year of her life, filling every day by being with her young children and friends where she felt happiest. She had a sarcastic sense of humor and filled her world with people who supported her and loved her. Her three young children felt her generosity of love and she will be missed with a smile by all who knew and loved her. Jeanne's family and friends would like to specifically thank the nurses and staff at the Santa Rosa Memorial Hospice. Additionally, a special thank you to Jeanne's neighbors and extended friends in the community for their generous support and continued guardianship of Jeanne's three children. May her beautiful soul rest in peace until we meet again in heaven. There will be a memorial on January 5th at 10:30 at Adobe Creek Funeral Home, 331 Lakeville Street, Petaluma, CA followed by a Celebration of Life in Novato. Donations for her three young children may be made to The Jeanne Somers Memorial Fund, P. O. Box 263, 936-B Seventh Street, Novato, CA 94945-3000. Arrangements under the direction of ADOBE CREEK FUNERAL HOME, 331 Lakeville St., Petaluma CA 94952. Cheda & Lyons - Directors (707) 789-9000

I knew Jeanne back when she worked at The Cantina restaurant in the 80's. Jeanne was special; she sparkled. She was so much fun to be around. She was smart, she was funny, and she was beautiful. My very deepest condolences to all her family and friends. We'll see her again in that next place.

We would like to express our most heartfelt condolences to the family of Jeanne Conklin-Somers. Such a beautiful soul joins the angelic presence of my mom who is also in Heaven- both so young. Her family must live for her and know that there is life beyond what we know here on earth. We are more than what we see. To her children...remember a Mother NEVER leaves her child she will always watch over and protect you....and speak to her...trust me..she IS listening.
