John Maxey Obituary

John Fred Maxey Age 74, of Novato, passed away on September 11, 2013 at Marin General Hospital with his family by his side. John was born in the Philippines in 1939 to Fred and Flora Maxey. The family moved to Long Island, New York a few years later where John grew up. He graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, and also served in the U.S. Army before moving to Tiburon, California. In San Francisco, after beginning a fifty-year career as a Product Manager in the banking/credit card industry, he met his wife, Irene. In 1973, they moved to Novato and raised two children, Kim and Michael. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Irene; his daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Mike Thomas of Petaluma; son and daughter-in-law, Michael Maxey and Susanne Babbel of San Anselmo; and grandchildren, Maddie and Ben Thomas. His parents, Fred and Flora; his brother, Fred; and his sister, Flora, predecease him. Friends and family are invited to a service celebrating John's life on September 29th at 2:00PM at Guaymas in Tiburon.
