Lucy Lugo Obituary
Celebrating the life of Lucy Lugo. She died peacefully in Novato on January 23, 2004 at the age of 90. Born in Monteria Colombia, she immigrated to Marin in 1965. Since then, Lucy has been a beacon of hope, love and advice to all her forthcoming family, and to hundreds of Latin immigrants who have poured into Marin. Her modest but exemplary life is a ray of inspiration to all who had the honor of knowing her. A great many people will forever carry in their hearts a loving memory of this, good, kind, Christian woman.
She is survived by her four sons, Victor, Edwin, Tony and Gabriel, four sisters, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. There are lots of other loving relatives and friends, who have embraced her and looked to her as a mother, enjoying her tender love and fruitful advice.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Loretto Parish on Saturday, January 31st, at 10:30 a.m. Life will continue to be a carnival, Lucy! Go in peace.

Un haz de luz basto para que Lucy pudiera conocer al mundo al que dio tanto amor. Envidio aquellos que tuvieron la fortuna de disfrutar por tiempo su dulce compañia. Doy gracias al Todo Poderoso por permitirme conocer a un ser tan maravilloso y hoy le suplico que ese angel de Dios sea mi acompañante en su nombre el resto de mis dias.

Tia Lucy:
En uno de los momentos mas dificiles de mi vida, llegaste a brindarme tu comprension, apoyo, cariño y amor. Durante mi estadia en los Estados Unidos, fuiste la luz que ilumino mi camino, la madre que tanto extrañaba. Lograste llenar en mucha parte ese vacio inmenso que se siente en la soledad de la distancia. Gracias Tia Lucy por estar ahi cuando te necesite.
No olvidare los momentos felices que vivimos juntas, la familia que me brindaste, la alegria que irradiabas y los sabios consejos que siempre estabas presta a darme.
Fernando, las niñas y yo te llevaremos en nuestros recuerdos y viviras por siempre en nuestros corazones. ¡No te perdimos, ganamos un angelito en el cielo!.

Tia Lucy:
Extrañamos la alegria y el animo que sabias poner al ambiente, dandole un sabor agradable a los momentos que compartiamos. Tu forma de ser deja una huella imborrable en cada uno de nosotros. Nos enseñaste a enfrentar las cosas por dificiles que fueran, con calma, paciencia y entusiasmo. Cualidad que ojala permanezca en muchas de las personas queridas que disfrutamos de tu agradable presencia.

Lloro tu ausencia. No olvidare el carino, amor y ternura que me brindaste desde la ninez, porque tuve la dicha de estar bajo tu cuidado mucho tiempo. La hermana que mas me quiso y quise. Segura estoy algun dia nos volvamos a encontrar. Tu no has muerto.... tu alma se transformo en alas... subio....cruzo el espacio... y desde el cielo ... envia su corola de bendiciones y de consuelo para sus cuatro hijos, hermanas y amigos.

Para los Lugos y la familia de nuestra querida Lucy, de la qual le vamos a extranar muchisimo, ya que formo parte de nuestras vidas. I knew Mrs. Lugo for many years as a friend of Edwin. She always exempified Mother to me in the kindness she showed to her children and her grandchildren. She was also a very spiritual woman setting the best example to her family.
