I met Mark at F&K in 1988, we started there at about the same time. Mark was an HVAC engineer and an associate. I was a plumbing & fire protection designer. We worked on a number of projects together. I remember Mark to be very smart and very funny, my kind of guy. I am so sorry to hear of his passing.

Mark will be missed. A good friend, a good coach, a good parent. I loved watching sport games with him near by, he was always involved and happy to be there. I'll miss seeing him at Mass on Sundays.

I was so sorry to hear of Mark's passing. He was such a good person. Mark and I grew up together in Billings, becoming friends while competing on junior high and high school teams. He was a terrific teammate, hardworking and he loved to compete. His humor and personality stood out then and I don't think he ever had a bad day. We lost track over the years, only catching up at reunions. It was always great seeing him, hearing about his family, his career and his life in California. He was always so happy and proud of his place in life. I'll miss knowing that Mark is out there and I am so sorry for your loss.

Mark gave me the opportunity to enter into my engineering career with Flack and Kurt as a young Irish immigrant to San Francisco in 1995 - I remember having a lunch interview with Mark and Jeff Blaevoet at the London Wine Bar across from F+K office at 343 Sansome Street. The waiter arrived and asked what I wanted to drink, I said water was fine, to which Mark responded call yourself Irish ?have a Pint - the interview went on and two or three pints later (Mark was thirsty), I was asked what I wanted for a salary, I said pay me nothing, just give me two weeks to work in your office and give me a shot, the response was we can't pay you nothing, but can get close followed by laughter. Sure enough I got the job and joined Wayne Gaw, Stephen Scaife and Allan Montpellier as the lads. Mark fondly used to refer to the Irish as Sean's and always loved to critique our choice of fashion. Thank you for being you Mark - you helped becoem the person and professional I am today. You will be missed, Rest In Peace.

I will always remember the day that Mark entered the offices of Gayner Engineers right out of Stanford. A firm handshake and a genuine smile. His eagerness to learn and work ethic always impressed me. It was a joy being with him. He had a way about him that even if we had not seen each other for years, there was an immediate reconnection as if it was only yesterday. I will miss him dearly.

So sad to hear the news of Mark's passing Kim. We worked at WSP for 6 years together and he was always smiling and helpful as well as proactive and professional, and a wonderful friend. I remember his huge lefty golf swing, crushing it down the fairway. You will be missed greatly Mark.

I met a Mark on many occasions in a professional capacity working together for WSP and was so impressed with his expert management skills looking after the business but most importantly getting the very best out of colleagues. Mark was always there to offer advice and help you overcome difficult situations. We attended a few conferences together and he was very much a fun person at these events. My thoughts and prayers are with you family. Sincerely, Tom Smith

It is telling that even such sad news transforms into a kind of smile in remembering Mark's outsized personality and irrepressible, inescapable and unforgettable humor. Kim, I'm so sorry to hear of Mark's passing - so very too soon - and hope you find some comfort in the lasting impact that Mark's spirit brought to so many.

My thoughts & prayers are with your family during this sad time. I remember Mark growing up and he would always love to pick on me as I was the youngest of the cousins when our families would get together. I loved reading about his wonderful life and wish I would have kept in touch better. Sending hugs from Spokane, WA.
