This year, on April 23rd, was the 11th year since you died. I wrote some things in my journal about our 36 + year marriage and our beautiful children, and how the family fell apart, and how, now, I can only feel love and compassion for you. Pure love not mixed up with need, hurt, anger, and dependency. We raised beautiful children, and I am so endlessly grateful for them. I know that they are on a journey they must take, and I know that my love for them, as well as your love-will sustain them on their road.

Even though you left us on my birthday.... I will hold your happy smile in my heart and mind forever. You were great to do business with, and made friends with anyone that dealt with you. God bless your family, and God bless you.

We are devastated to hear about Michael. We have he fondest of memories of the entire family--mostly at the Little League park. I still have my beautiful Corian kitchen counters that Michael put in over 25 years ago. Cindy and Mike Thatcher

One of my fondest memories of Michael was being invited to his and Annies house and watching him thru the glass door as he created the most delicious lemon sauce (mayo, dijon mustard, lemon juice salt and pepper for the Asparagus.
He was dancing and so happy with no idea anyone was looking. Michael was a rare human being whose heart was bigger than he could hold in his
body. My love to Annie and her family. I know that Michael's spirit will continue to support you thru this time

Annie,
Please accept my deepest sympathy and condolences to the passing of Michael. He was a wonderful, caring person and I will not forget the time he dropped everything to come to my rescue to get the water running at the house where I was renting.
Much love, Irmela

Michael - you were the first local we did business with when we moved our family here from N. Cal. in the 80s. You designed and built a beautiful counter for our business and, in the process, became a special friend. Your smile and personality could light up a room like no other. Such a beautiful person, a wonderful parent, a best friend to all. I've no doubt you're in a better place, and that you've been an angel among us all along.
My condolences to your family.
Hugs to you all,
Shelley Augustson-Watson

Michael came into my life 30 years ago, like an angel, and as a brother. He was always available for people no matter how "busy" he was with his work. People, including me, knew we mattered in is presence. Simply mattered. He was a living example of what it looks like when you live from your heart.....naturally and easily. He awakened my Kindness and humor and compassion.

I became friends with Michael 4 years ago. Like so many, he made me feel welcome in his life after meeting him. We shared many experiences talking of memories of growing up in the bay area, his son Cooper and my son Ian's time in high school, his success in going back to UC Berkeley to further his counseling work, and so much more. He'd tell me I was one of his favorite people. To everyone who had the pleasure of having Michael in their lives, I know they feel the same about him.

You are so loved. I miss you endlessly. . Our children are breaking with grief and it's not getting better. The babies ask for GaGaDa or Poppa. Know that you were a great man in this world, a great husband, father and friend to humanity. I LOVE YOU

Michael had his shop, Architectural Surfaces, right across the parking lot from where I worked in Russel Service Center in Pacific Grove. I saw him every day and we'd have a short or long conversation, depending on timing and events of the day. Michael had a wonderful smile, a great laugh (almost always),a big heart, and an opinion about most things! I liked him very much, and I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. My heart goes out to his family, and I will remember him always. He was a kind person--a special guy.
