In the Children´s Room at the Sausalito Library, children would press their faces and hands against the windowed door in anticipation of story time with Mr. Phil. This was not a quiet time in the library and I´ve not seen such enthusiasm in children to find a book after story time ended. What a brilliant star Mr. Phil was.
I just became aware of his passing and must say, my memories of him have and will remain with me forever.
Condolences to you all.

I first met Phil along with his buddies Louis and Rolf at a Falkirk Great Books meeting followed by GB events at Asilomar and Menlo Park. He was a lovely, light spirit in our shared inquiry sessions especially the poetry discussions. The Great Books community has lost a special star.

I met Phil and Lynda in the early 70's in Mill Valley and had the pleasure of hanging out with Phil, Linda and other friends
of theirs.
Phil left a big impression on me, as I thought of him as a Renaissance man with a passion for Life, books and his
family.
Life moved on and 40 years later, we reconnected via our
grand children at their pre-school in San Francisco.
It was fun to be reminded to our old past and it was lovely to see him and Lynda together. Phil has left his mark in Mill Valley, he was a good man and yes, he made our world a better place to live.
My deepest condolences to you Lynda and your Family.

Our family has fond memories of hearing Mr. Sheridan at story hour at the library! He invited us into his imagination, wonder, and kindness in all the stories he read. Our sympathy to you and may the memory of him stay in your hearts, loving
and peaceful forever.
