Robert Charles Del Carlo March 2, 1945 - June 15, 2022 It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved father and husband, Robert (Bob) Del Carlo at the age of 77. Bob was married to Susan (Cicchi) for 55 years. He was born and raised in San Francisco, California to Mary (Nardi) and Edward Del Carlo. Bob attended Riordan High School where he graduated with the Class of 1963. In 1965, he joined the Army National Guard, where he served six years as a medical corpsman and was honorably discharged in 1971. Concurrently, he attended trade school and became an IBEW Electrician for Local Union 6 and worked for Charles B. Farrow (CBF) in San Francisco for 30 years. Bob and Sue moved to Novato in 1974 where they raised their family, made many friends and became longtime members of Rolling Hills Country Club. In his free time, Bob enjoyed hunting, golf, Pedro and spending time with family and friends, including annual trips to Lake Berryessa, Lake Tahoe, Clear Lake and Camp Mather. Ultimately, he had to retire early due to renal failure. He received a kidney transplant in 2004, which enabled him to enjoy his retirement years. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Susan; daughters, Lisa Nogleberg (Brett), Debbie Del Carlo (Mike Demers) and Cherie Chipman (Pat); grandchildren, Katelyn, Robert, Karina, Ian, Alana and Colin; brother, Raymond and many nieces and nephews. He is in Heaven now with his parents, sister and brother-in-law; Adrienne and Frank Baldassari; sister-in-law Rae Ann Del Carlo and best friend Lee Poldino. Those who knew him inevitably lost a piece of their heart last week. He was a kind and caring soul who exuded a comforting presence, which will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was and shall always remain, a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. We love you Poppe and we will see you again. In the near future, we will announce a memorial celebration of Bob's life. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to the American Kidney Fund in his honor.
