NORMA EDDY Obituary

NORMA EDDY Norma Eddy, 86, of rural Slater, MO, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, October 5, 2025, with her family by her side. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Southside Assembly of God Church in Marshall with Rev. Cliff Cato and William W. Harlow officiating. Burial will follow in Slater City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. Norma moved with her family to Saline County as a teenager and graduated from Marshall High School. On December 12, 1958, at First Assembly of God Church in Marshall, she married Harold Eddy who survives of the home. Harold and Norma raised their family in the rural Slater area and to say that Norma was simply a homemaker in no way could begin to tell all the things she did in her life. A daughter, sister, farmers wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Norma cared for everyone. She was an active member of her church, Southside Assembly of God in Marshall, where she had taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. In addition to her husband of nearly 67 years, Harold; she is survived by their four children: Nancy Wiseman (Jim) of Slater; Gene Eddy of Glasgow, Alan Eddy (Tonya) of Slater and Melinda Wallace (Jerry) of Leeton; 10 grandchildren: Seth Langan (Karley), Chad Wiseman (Crystal), Danae Hayworth (Luke), Dorrian Browning, Derek Eddy, Austin Eddy (Tristen), Cassie Eddy, Alexis Eddy, Clinton Finley and Rhiannon Cox (Nicholas); 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Sammie Willis of Batesville, AR and Jimmie Willis (Melody) of Blackwater; as well as nieces, nephews and other extended family. Norma was preceded in death by her parents; a great-granddaughter, Haley Browning; and one sister, Barbara Carol Willis.
