Paul J. Stockhorst January 22, 1940 - February 23, 2023 Paul J. Stockhorst, 83, of Marshall, Mo., formerly of Sedalia, died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2023, at The Living Center in Marshall. Memorial graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2023, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sedalia. Memorials are suggested to The Living Center in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. An online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com. Born Jan. 22, 1940, in rural Howard County, Mo., he was the son of the late Bernard Stockhorst and Rosella Martha Struttman Stockhorst. On June 7, 1958, he married Rita Marie Bennett, who survives of the home. Paul worked as a meat cutter for 54 years and also cut beef for the Beef House at the Missouri State Fair for many years. He and Rita lived in Sedalia for over 30 years before moving to Marshall in 2021. In addition to his wife of over 64 years, Rita; he is survived by four children, Randy Stockhorst (Sandra) of Defiance, Ohio, Shelly Walter (Kevin) of Marshall, Tammy Ehrhardt (Brad) of Festus and Holly Parkhurst (Kyle) of Marshall; six grandchildren, Christopher, Ryan, Ariel, Sydne, Kaitlan and Mackenzie; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruthie Fuenfhausen of Columbia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Paul was preceded in death by his parents; a great-granddaughter, Aurora; three brothers and four sisters.
