Donald Asher Obituary

Donald J. Asher, 81, Niangua, was born September 18, 1941, to W. Ray and Norma Jane (Branstetter) Asher in Cape Fair. He departed this life June 1, 2023, surrounded by his family.

Donald and his beloved wife, Patsy Asher were united in marriage on March 17, 1961, they were married for 62 years. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a farmer and had at least two hundred head of Limousin cattle at one time, and a hundred Angora goats. He and his brother, Lonnie, built an airplane together called "Asher's Rag Wing." They loved to go on adventures flying together. He also loved riding his motorcycle.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Asher; their children, Donna Faye Young (Darren), Seymour, Donetta Kay Asher, Niangua, Terry Don Asher (Amanda), Niangua; seven grandchildren, Jacqueline, Jerry "J.C.", Makalee, Savannah, Hunter, Abigail, Lily; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Barbara Ann Bloomer (Irvan), Cape Fair, Roy Gene Asher (Sue), Crane, Royal Kay Eutsler (Roy), Cape Fair, and Lonnie Ray Asher (Diane), Cape Fair.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in Greater Life Apostolic Church, under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc. Interment followed in Old Prospect Cemetery, Niangua.

Memorial contributions may be made to Greater Life Apostolic Church and left in care of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., P.O. Box 85, Marshfield, MO.
