Anthony P. "Tony" Winiarski passed away peacefully at home on July 18, 2023, surrounded by his loving family, after a valiant battle with glioblastoma. Born April 12, 1957 in Springfield, MA to Phyllis (Hermanowski) and the late Frank Winiarski, Tony was a U.S. Navy veteran and later attended both STCC and Westfield State College, receiving his BSRN. Following a 35-year career in nursing, he retired from Holyoke Medical Center. Always young at heart, Tony had zeal for life itself and enjoyed every minute of it. He leaves his wife and partner of 34 years, Cindy; children Sara and Lauryn; mother Phyllis; brother Michael and his family; and countless beloved friends. Per Tony's request, all arrangements are private. In his memory, please make time to enjoy the fun things in life. Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, Agawam has been entrusted with arrangements.

To Tony's family, I had the privilege of working with Tony in the ER at Holyoke Hospital, now Holyoke Medical Center. I was a newer nurse around 1996 and I cherish my memories of working with Tony, he was extremely kind, and very patient. While our paths have not crossed in some time, I remember him as if we worked together yesterday, he was just that wonderful of a person. Thank you for sharing him.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Tony. I worked with him at Holyoke Medical Center for over 30 years. Have many fond memories of him while working in the early years with him on the nursing units. Thoughts and prayers to Cindy and her family.

Dear Cindy and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Tony was one of the best nurses I have ever had the privilege to work with. I missed him terribly when he left the emergency room. He always made work better when he was there. He was always talking about you and your daughters, you could feel the love he had for his family. He really was one of the good ones
