Barbara G. Scott 1928 - 2012 LONGMEADOW - Barbara G. Scott, 83, of Longmeadow, died Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Baystate Medical Center. Born in London, Ontario, Canada. Barbara was the daughter of the late Dean R. and Huella (Douglass) Russell. She graduated from the University of Toronto in 1950. Prior to coming to the United States, Barbara had worked with her father at his pharmacy, Dean Russell Ltd. She moved to the US in 1962. Although she had been a resident of the US for many years, she proudly maintained her Canadian citizenship. She had been a long-time member of the First Church of Christ in Longmeadow. Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Wilson H. Scott in 1985. She is survived by her three daughters; Mary Dean Broussard of Suffield, CT, Sue Trimble of Simsbury, CT and Elizabeth "Buffy" Scott-Fox of Maynard, MA; a brother, Doug Russell of London, Ontario; a sister, Dinny Faurote of Middlebury, VT; and her five beloved grandchildren, Cindy, Kim, Scott, Jenn and Jackie. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2PM at Glenmeadow, 24 Tabor Crossing, Longmeadow. Interment will be in Port Stanley in August. There are no calling hours.
