David Francis McClellan, Sr., 83, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 with family by his side. He was born in Hartford, CT on December 15, 1942, son of the late Donald and Natalie McClellan and was brought up in Westfield, MA. He later resided in a few towns in the area including Southwick, Montgomery and Peru along with a seasonal place in Florida. He leaves his loving wife Terri and 3 children: David McClellan, Jr. (and his wife Paula); Donald McClellan (and Carrie Gelina), Lisa Domina (and husband Ken). He also leaves his very special step-children: Helen McElroy and Timothy McElroy (and wife Rylee). He has six grandchildren who lovingly called him Poppi and will miss him dearly: Nicole McClellan (and Rob Bitso), Daniel McClellan (and wife Sophia), Nick Domina (and wife Kaitlyn), Harper Pirnie, and Brendan and Gavin McElroy. In addition, he leaves behind a great grandson, Noah Domina. He also leaves his sister, Wendy Harris (and husband Will), niece, Kim Plunkett (and children, Sean and Erin) and predeceased by his nephew, Ricky Kvitek. Dave was a "Jack-of-all-Trades" and there was never a challenge he couldn't conquer. He began his career as a diesel mechanic for MACK Truck followed by his own businesses in machining and construction. He was very mechanically inclined and could figure out anything. He always made sure every line was straight and every angle perfectly square. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially ice fishing with the family. He loved camping and was a member of the PV8 camping group (Pioneer Valley Chapter 8 of NAFCA). He especially enjoyed traveling to campgrounds on the shores of the New England states with his friends from PV8. The camping group had lots of fun playing many different games including Gotcha, which Dave recreated out of wood, and made many of these board games that his friends and family still enjoy playing today. He was an avid gardener, talented at landscaping, loved bird watching and even had a hand in farming. He loved classic cars, built an amazing house and could make anything from wood. Dave will surely be missed by all. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the
