Nannie Newsom Obituary

MAYSVILLE — Nannie Marie (Spencer) Newsom, 82, passed away Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025.

She was born on July 30, 1943, to the late Lonnie and Chloe (Sparks) Spencer.

She was a cook for 23 years at The Lively Lady.

She is survived by her husband, Harold Newsom whom she married Aug. 25, 1962. She is also survived by her daughter, Pam (Norman) Riley and her son, John (Tanya) Newsom both of Dover; three grandsons, Christopher (Lovenia) Riley, Nathan (Megan) Riley, and Justin Riley; two great-grandchildren, Greyson Riley and Jade Hoskins and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Adele Meadows and three brothers, Elbert Spencer, Kenneth Spencer, and Ernest Spencer.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. on Friday at Moore and Parker Funeral Home in Maysville. Burial will be at Hillcrest Garden of Memories in Maysville. Visitation will be 11-1 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Hope.
