MAYSVILLE - Sandra Wilson Hook, 77, of Morristown, Tenn., went to be with the Lord on April 12, 2024, at home surrounded by family.
She was born on Sept. 17, 1946, in Aberdeen, Ohio, to Virgil and Doris Wilson.
Sandra was known to many as "Sandi" and had a warm, friendly personality that endeared her to all who knew her.
Sandra graduated from Manchester High School in Manchester, Ohio, and had her first job at the Ledger Independent.
She went on to work at Browning Manufacturing/Emerson Electric for 25 years.
After moving to Tennessee in 1997 and working for more than 35 years in the Human Resources field, she furthered her education at Warren National Universitywith a bachelor's degree in science.
She was a University of Kentucky Fellow, a member of The Order of the Eastern Star, The Rotary Club and an avid reader.
She is survived by her son, Eric P. Hook of Maysville, her daughter, Julie (Fred) Sutphen of Greenwood, Miss., her aunt, Natalie Waltrip of Largo, Fla., friend, Ed Becker of West Union, Ohio, Hanna Rorrer and family of Aberdeen, Ohio, as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Sandra was preceded in death by her father, Virgil Wilson, her mother, Doris M. Wilson, her sister, Shirley Whitmire, her beloved niece, Brandi Erkenbrecher, and her special friend, Robert "Doyle" Self.
A private memorial will be held for family and close friends at a later date. Sandra's presence in the lives of her family and friends will be greatlymissed, but her love and memories will forever remain in their hearts

I will miss Sandi. Her best wishes and acknowledgments on family news, our exchange of Christmas cards, her tenacity.
I was so pleased to have a short phone conversation this past holiday. I remember saying, how nice it was to hear her voice.
