Agnes S. Gartner, 86, of Whitehall/Coplay, died Friday, April 6, 2012, at Praxis, Easton, PA. Born December 27, 1925 in Stiles, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Katherine (Etchberger) Gartner. She was employed by various sewing manufacturers in the Lehigh Valley for 40 years before retiring. Agnes was a member of Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Emmanulesville, where she was a former bell choir member. She was also a former Sunday School Teacher and a Girl Scout Leader, both at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Coplay. Survivors: She is survived by her sisters, Rose Salter of Allentown, PA, Marie DeWalt of Coplay, PA; brothers, Martin Gartner of Boardman, OH, Jacob Gartner of Whitehall, PA; niece, Linda M. wife of Arthur Frustaci of Alpha, NJ; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Helen Gartner, Catherine Superka; brothers, Rudy, Anthony, Alfred and Joseph Gartner. Services: Arrangements are being handled by Schisler Funeral Home, Inc., 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA, where the family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2012. Funeral service will be at Schisler Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2012. Interment will be at Coplay Cemetery in Coplay, PA.
