So very sorry. His light was one I can recall vividly. The smile that lit up a room. Had not seen him in years and I needed to note, as a child being brought up in the same church and loving brother of my good old friend Cindy... He affected me even back then. Warmest of thoughts are being sent to all of you who were fortunate to have him in your lives.

I was a classmate and friend of Blaine's from high school and college. Unfortunately we lost track of each other over the years. I was shocked to hear of his sudden passing through his sister, a dear friend. He was a fun loving, caring soul. He was genuine. I just finished reading all of the wonderful tributes from his students and parents through his teaching job. I get the sense that he continued to be the caring genuine soul that I remember as a young man. My prayers go out to his wife, daughters, parents and siblings. May they find comfort in knowing that Blaine was loved and that his spirit will continue in the words and deeds of many others.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family duirng this difficult time. I wanted to let you know that Mr. House has had a huge impact on my life, as I decided to go to Penn State University to be an elementary school teacher because of him. He was my role model and he was the greatest teacher that I ever had. He was a true role model and always knew how to lighten the mood in his classroom and anywhere he went. I will never forget when I was in 5th grade (I am 28 years old now) and he gave me a paperclip for passing out papers to the class because he ran out of candy. He told me to keep that paperclip until I got married. I got married last year and still have it. He is a true inspiration and will be missed but never forgoten. Again, my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Tammy, Caitlin and Jillian:
I can't tell you how saddened I am with the passing of Blaine. He was such a special person. He taught two of my grandchildren at Towmaensing and when I talked to Lynn, she said he was the best teacher she had of all-time. Heath is away at College and haven't had a chance to talk to him. He was a good friend to my children and made trips to our house with his brothers selling Christmas cards during the years. He always waved when we passed his parents house and saw him many times at the school. Blaine came from a special family who are all loved. Ron and Shirley, Larry and I both feel what you are going thru and if you ever want to talk, we are right up the street. Tammy and girls, you were so lucky to share your love with him and he will always be remembered and watching over you. God bless you all and you are all in our thoughts and prayers. I was a 9 year old girl in 1987 when I was one of the lucky ones to spend my 5th grade year with your husband and father. I have so many memories of him, from putting me in the garbage can to launching his soft footbal across the room at me when I wasnt paying attention. He was and still remains my favorite teacher. He gave me a quarter that he taped on the back of a excuse paper that was dated and Said..........Kobi, this is to help you get to college! Love Mr. House I have kept that for the last 26 years, Its amazing that something so small could turn into such a treasure. Over the years I would go back and visit during art shows and stuff held at the school and his class room would be my first stop. High School football games you would know right were to find him. He was truly an amazing man.He cared so much for every student he taught. I know I have never forgotten him and I never will!
At the rising of the sun and at its going down,
We remember them.
At the blowing of the wind and in the chill of Winter,
We remember them.
At the opening of buds and in the rebirth of Spring,
We remember them.
At the blueness of the skies and in the warmth of Summer,
We remember them.
At the rustling of leaves and the beauty of Autumn,
We remember them.
At the beginning of the year and when it ends,
We remember them.
As long as we live, they too will live;
for they are now a part of us, as we remember them.
When we are weary and in need of strength,
We remember them.
When we are lost and sick at heart,
We remember them.
When we have joys we yearn to share,
We remember them.
When we have decisions that are difficult to make,
We remember them.
When we have achievements that are based on theirs,
We remember them.
As long as we live, they too shall live,
for they are a part of us, as we remember them.
May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

My deepest condolences. Mr House was one the best and most influential teachers I had, including professors through college. He worked with my mom at the High School for a couple of years before shifting to the Elementary school, and she told me how lucky I was that he made the switch.
She was right. I was fortunate enough to be in one of his first classes at Towamensing. He was both warm and demanding, and simply made you want to do better. I'm so sorry for your loss. He was a great man.

Tuesday we certainly lost a wonderful person that never wore a face of sadness. There is surely a big void not only the childrens' hearts but also in the community. As a teacher, he made every child in the school feel that they were important and could accomplish whatever they wanted. There are only so many that can accomplish this and he truly had this ability. He showed his students that with true passion you can help change the world for the better. I don't believe he knew just how much he stood as a symbol of greatness. It was just a part of who he was,it came natural to him and he never wanted anything in return. He was truly a wonderful teacher and person that will surely be hard to duplicate. Whenever I asked of his help for any of my kids at school he was there to do whatever he could without a complaint. I know he touched my four children in such a way that they will never forget and by his patience and love he has helped to form a part of who they have become today. God bless your family and rest assured that he is continuing his work in heaven and know he will never be forgotten as he touched so many lives in such a positive way.

I am still in disbelief and the mourning at my home and at the school will continue for quite some time. Mr House taught 4 of my children and they enjoyed every moment. His enthusiasm for the children showed every day. Parent-teacher conferences were actually fun with Mr House. He was witty, charming, professional and so caring. He touched so many lives over the years and could make a child interested in learning. There is definitely an unfillable void at Towamensing. My heart goes out to the family for their loss of this magnificent man who was taken from us way too soon. He will be deeply missed.
