Bruce B. Smith

1949 - 2018

Bruce B. Smith, of Palmer Township, passed away Saturday, June 9th, at home surrounded by his family and friends.He was the companion of Karen M. Shriver with whom he shared his life for 22 years. Born in Catasauqua, March 2, 1949, Smith was the son of the late Harry B. and Dorothy M. (Fink) Smith, Jr. After graduating from Catasauqua High School in 1967 he attended Husson University, Bangor, ME receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Bruce was a lifetime member of Christ United Church of Christ Schoenersville, a lifetime member of the East End Fire Co., as well as a lifetime member of Porter Lodge #284 F & AM. Survivors in addition to his companion are his daughters, Kimberly Ann Smith and Carrie Mae Smith both of North Catasauqua along with his grandchildren Brittney Ann and Brandon Michael Bilheimer. His calling period will be held Saturday, June 23rd at Christ United Church of Christ Schoenersville from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon followed by the funeral service with Catherine A. Strouse officiating. Interment will be at Schoenersville Cemetery located at Airport and Grove Roads, Hanover Township, Lehigh County. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Christ UCC Schoenersville, 5050 Airport Road, Allentown, PA 18109. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. of Catasauqua.
