Catherine Bird Obituary
Cathy, along with her husband, owned and operated A&S HVAC Inc. Prior to that, she worked as a bank teller at the Schoenersville Road branch in Bethlehem. She enjoyed traveling with her family, especially to Aruba, St. Martin, and various other islands. At the beach, you could find Cathy floating on the water in a raft or sun tanning on the beach. She enjoyed shopping, taking care of her Koi fish pond, and cuddling with her grand puppies. She especially loved taking care of her family and was so proud of her daughters and all their accomplishments.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 41 years, Douglas S. Bird; daughters, Lauren and Elizabeth; mother, Mary Dumbach; brothers, Joseph (Diane), Richard (Nancy), Kenneth (Joyce) and Edward (Terri) Dumbach; sister, Caroline Turnbach (Philip) and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Cathy was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Dumbach.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A viewing will also be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. with a service to follow at 10:30 in the funeral home. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Angel 34 Foundation, 5611 Hemlock Pl. Orefield, PA 18069.

I am so sorry to hear of Cathy's passing. We worked together many years ago at First National Bank of Allentown, Westgate Branch. She was always so friendly and helpful. Prayers to you, Doug, Mary and family.

My condolences to the family on your loss. Cathy and I worked together at Meridian Bank on Union Boulevard and she was always very nice to me. I remember that she was very pregnant at the time and I can still see her carefully making her way down that teller line in the morning in the weeks before she went out on maternity leave.
